A new special session of ReSiPi seminars, entiteled “Job Interview Simulation”, took place on monday 12th february 2018 at Institut Curie.
Our guests for this session were : Miss Rebekah D’ARCY, a Recruitment Manager for France-Belgium-Hollande at PerkinElmer and Dr. Rym SFAXI who has recently obtained her PhD in Biology from Institut Curie.
The idea behind this special session was to give PhD students and young Post-Docs a preview of an interview for a job in the private sector through a live and an interactive example. Thus, the aim is to encourage them to pursue a career in the private sector, help them know what to expect and give them the tools to be well prepared when the time comes for their real interview.

The session started at 12:30 and went as following :
– Opening (5min)
– Pizzas and drinks (10-15minmin)
– The Job Interview Simulation (20 min)
– feed back from Rebekah & questions from the audience (15-20min)
Th e job simulation was very successful thanks to the great performance of Rebekah D’ARCY as a recruiter and Rym SFAXI as a candidate. Over 30 people attended the session which has ended by many interesting questions from the audience.
